Here is what we offer to get you going ...
Want to find out what Nordic Walking is all about? You may be surprised - it isn’t hiking or trekking but an enhancement to walking born out of cross country skiing. So why not join us for a free (yes free!) 45 min Nordic Walking “Sampler” Session.
(Please contact me to arrange).
Building on the co-ordination achieved during the Sampler session this 1.5 hour course teaches the basic techniques of how to walk using strapped Nordic Poles via the International Nordic Walking (INWA) method.
(Please contact me to arrange).
Having completed the Basic Technique (and done some practice) this 1 hour advanced course is all about utilising Nordic Walking to get a full body work out. Strongly advise that you have been walking for a minimum of 10 weeks post the Basics Training before booking on to this course.
In this session we will recap the basics before learning how to maximise the drive from the poles.
(Please contact me to arrange).
Exactly “what it says on the tin”. If you have already had training in Nordic Walking but have lapsed or simply forgotten what its all about then this is an opportunity to go back to basics to refresh and practice the basics of Nordic Walking.
(Please contact me to arrange).
So having completed the training you are all ready to go ....
For those who have just learned how to Nordic Walk (i.e have done the Basics Course or done a Refresher session) and need some progressive walks that gently build up speed and distance over the weeks along with some continued tuition.
A progression on from Starter Walks and designed to build a bridge to the more regular Adventure Walks (a little faster and longer than the Starter Walks).
Our standard normal Nordic Walk. Generally 1 to 1.5 hours at a good pace across many different trails. From the wonderful beaches of Hayling Island to the rolling contours of the South Downs and magnificent Country Parks. Note this activity can only be undertaken after a Basic Techniques or Refresher Session has been successfully completed.
Definitely for the more adventurous. All walks are 7+ miles (normally 10ish) with speed, distance and elevation challenges. Load your back pack with water and power bars (waterproofs, suntan lotion - everything for a typical British Summers Day). Note this activity can only be undertaken after a Basic Techniques or Refresher Session has been successfully completed.
